Walk to the Sound of Running Water
This irrigation canal was built during the 19th century. There are many irrigation structures that run high in the mountains to bring water to as many rice paddies as possible. Amongst these, you'll come across the Okedashi Bridge, which was an especially difficult construction project. The sounds of pure running water let you forget whatever difficulties they may have faced in irrigating this area, and it makes for a supremely enjoyable walk along this only slightly sloping course.
