The Mt. Hanaoka Course starts at the Shinkansen Exit of Kumamoto Station and visits numerous points of interest, including a number of sites important in the Satsuma Rebellion and a rock where Kato Kiyomasa, builder of Kumamoto Castle, supposedly rested his helmet and armor.
